Zug Sports Night
The Sports Award has been presented annually since 2013 to successful and deserving athletes from Zug on the Zug Sports Night in February.
The winner receives a sculpture as well as a support grant. The sculpture is designed by the artist and goldsmith from Zug, Urs Bischof – a neighbor of ours here at the Lüssihof. Every year, citizens of Zug vote on who should have the chance to win the coveted prize. As a rule, all qualifying athletes have already won a Swiss Championship title, a medal at the European or World Championships, or a medal in the European or World Cup. The winner is ultimately democratically selected by a qualified panel of judges.
Around 150 people take part in the festive and exciting event, which is held in a different community in Zug each year.
Our commitment to movement and sport is very important to us, so it is an honor for us to be a part of this annual highlight of the sporting calendar in the canton of Zug. Our commitment to the Zug Sport Night is long-term.
