Zugerberg Finanz Trophy

We are delighted to have added another commitment to our activities in the field of corporate social responsibility at the beginning of 2021. The Zuger Trophy has become the “Zugerberg Finanz Trophy”, which also makes us pretty proud – especially since our commitment helps ensure that the Trophy will continue in the long term.

As a passionate racing bike rider who covers more than 100,000 meters in altitude every year, Timo Dainese (CEO, founder, and managing partner of Zugerberg Finanz) takes part in one or two stages himself every year. As do many Zugerberg Finanz employees, who enthusiastically collect kilometers and meters of altitude for the Trophy. Many Zugerberg Finanz employees are big sports enthusiasts.

Since we first became involved with the Trophy, we have further developed the format and made it even more successful. For example, the altitude challenge introduced in 2022 is very popular, offering great rewards for participants when they reach different levels. A new feature for the year 2023 is that kilometers run can now be exchanged for meters of altitude, so runners can unlock the rewards of the altitude challenge as well.

The latest highlight is the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy Brevet, newly created for 2023. This is given to anyone who completes all 6 mountain stretches in one ride in a single day. The stunning, varied route covers 150 km and 2800 meters of altitude. As with the altitude challenge, neither time nor speed matter – only that you do it. In addition to the awards you receive for completing the challenge, you will of course also be added to the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy Olympus. You can find the list of Brevet Finishers here.

In addition to the joy of movement, the values of passion, localness, dynamism, and continuity are also central to Zugerberg Finanz – and the Zugerberg Finanz Trophy embodies these in a sustainable way. Its aim is to encourage more movement and activity in the Greater Zug Region, because we believe that sport and exercise improve both our health and enjoyment of life. In collaboration with numerous local partners and associations, the organizer Reto Benz has worked tirelessly to set up one of the most successful projects to promote health and exercise in the region.

Perhaps we’ll see each other on the road?

We are now looking forward to the 18th Trophy together.
